Introduction

Our client is one of Asia’s largest luxury holiday villa and apartments provider. Its scope of operation cover a large part of Asia, including all popular tourist attractions like Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia, Philippines and Vietnam, among others. The client either holds rental properties itself at these sites or works directly with countless rental properties owners and managers.

Challenge

The customer’s main source of lead and sales generation is based on its online bookings system, as conventional bookings amount for less than 3% of their sales revenue. Therefore, a fully optimal, functional, reliable and advanced online bookings and payment system is its lifeline.

Since the client was also in the process of expanding its business to the South Pacific region, the new system also had to be super scalable with centralized data processing capabilities.

The client was also looking to enhance its customer services and engagement along with improved employee motivation with the introduction of a fully customised and integrated enterprise mobile application.

1. Online Booking System

 

We used our technical expertise to centralise the booking system, allowing for real time processing of both online and offline (through office or calls) bookings. The framework of the booking system was also designed to allow for ease of scalability, as client had huge expansion plans.

2. Online Payment System

 

To strengthen consumer trust, we took the former payment system to a more reliable and secure platform, without slowing the processing time.

A complete redesign of the existing user interface was done, to give a more modern and user friendly appeal to it. This enhancement of the user experience led to a higher bookings and lower bounce off rate. Moreover, the new UI had cross platform functionality for tablets, desktop and mobile.

To facilitate the client’s business, Code District developed and implemented an affiliate and partnership program through which the property owner could embed our client’s API into its system and confirm which specific booking were generated through our client.
